What Talentopian Explorer does

Talentopian Explorer is a free Chrome extension on the Chrome Web Store built for job seekers.

For job seekers

Talentopian Explorer

Live AI companion during your interviews
  • Surfaces points from your own résumé while the interviewer is talking
  • Suggested response scaffolds you can glance at — never scripted lines
  • Click any bullet to dig deeper in the side chat
  • STAR debrief and thank-you note draft after the call

Installation

Talentopian Explorer installs from the Chrome Web Store in under a minute.

  1. Open the Talentopian Explorer listing on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome, then confirm the permissions prompt.
  3. Pin the Talentopian icon next to the address bar so it's always one click away. (Click the puzzle icon → pin Talentopian.)
  4. Open a Google Meet or Zoom call to confirm the sidebar appears on the right side of the screen.
Browser support: Chrome 110+ and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc) are fully supported. Safari and Firefox are not currently supported.

The extension does not have its own login screen. It signs in automatically using your existing Talentopian web session.

  1. Open www.talentopian.com in any tab and sign in.
  2. Switch back to your Google Meet or Zoom tab. The extension picks up your token within a second or two.
  3. If the sidebar still asks you to sign in, refresh your meeting tab. (We sync the token as soon as the Talentopian tab loads.)
Heads up: Firebase ID tokens expire roughly every hour. If you've kept the same Meet tab open for a long time, just visit talentopian.com once to refresh — the extension will pick up the new token automatically.

Using it in a meeting

Step 1 — Enable closed captions in your meeting client

The extension reads the captions Google Meet or Zoom already display on your screen. We do not record or upload audio. If captions are off, the extension has nothing to work with. The extension will try to enable captions for you automatically, but you can also turn them on manually from the meeting toolbar.

Step 2 — Open the sidebar

The sidebar appears automatically on the right side of the meeting page once you join. If it isn't there, click the Talentopian icon next to the address bar and choose Open Sidebar in Meeting.

Step 3 — Let it work in the background

You don't need to do anything during the call. As people talk, the extension surfaces suggestions in the sidebar:

Step 4 — End-of-session output

Plan requirements

Talentopian Explorer is gated to the right subscription tier:

Already on Pro and want to switch? The payment page detects your current subscription and offers a prorated switch. Stripe credits the unused time on your current plan and charges only the difference at the next invoice — no double billing, no need to cancel and resubscribe.

Manage your subscription

Cancel, switch plans, update your payment method, or download invoices through Stripe's billing portal.

  1. Go to talentopian.com/payment and click your current plan.
  2. Click Manage billing. You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure customer portal.
  3. From there you can update your card, view past invoices, switch plans, or cancel.
Cancellation behavior: When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your role drops back to the free tier.

Privacy & consent

What we read. Only the closed-caption text already shown on your screen by Google Meet or Zoom. No audio, no video, no tabs outside the meeting page.

Where it goes. Caption text is sent to our secure backend solely to generate the in-meeting suggestions and the post-meeting analysis report, and to save that report to your authenticated Talentopian account. We do not sell or rent transcripts; we don't use them to train generic foundation models.

Retention. Processed transcripts are retained for up to 90 days, and are deleted when you delete the associated session or your account.

The full privacy policy is at talentopian.com/privacy.
